History of Derby Chiropractic
Derby Chiropractic was started in July of 1994. It has been owned and operated by Dr. Johnson and his wife, Mashella ever since. Dr. Johnson graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in December of 1991. Soon after, Mashella received a business degree from Friends University. Dr. Johnson manages the patient care aspect of the clinic, and Mashella manages the finances. The clinic was originally a Dopps Chiropractic Clinic, which opened in July of 1992, shortly after Dr. Johnson’s graduation. He managed the clinic for them for two years, and then purchased it in 1994 and changed the name to Derby Chiropractic. During the time that the Johnson’s have owned the clinic, they have helped over 3000 patients find better health and a better quality lifestyle. Dr. Johnson calculates that he has personally given over 120,000 treatments since becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. He sums up his philosophy by commenting, “God made our bodies to properly function and heal through our nervous systems. My job is to make sure the nerve messages get from the brain to the parts of the body that need them so the body can work the way God intended for it to work. Living a life with nerve obstructions means living a life less than your full potential, and I want all of my patients to experience life to the fullest with the least amount of health problems as possible. A chiropractic lifestyle does just that!”
